This week is the 2024 Petermarkathon and we are delighted to have Peter Mark salon’s across the country supporting our journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.
During this week, the 69 Peter Mark salons around the country are running fundraising events to help continue the services provided by our Community Resource Officers – a service which responds to circa 20,000 contacts every year.

We have written to the Minister of Health regarding the publication of the SUDEP incidence study, calling for co-ordinated action to reduce SUDEP by improving access to specialist care and treatment.

A new study supported by Epilepsy Ireland has identified the incidence of SUDEP in Ireland at 1:1400 - equating to 33 people per year.
Would you like your voice to be heard around the world?
We are supporting our colleagues in the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) in disseminating and seeking responses from people with epilepsy and their families in Ireland to the Global Epilepsy Needs Study (GENS).
The study was previously open in just 15 countries – which garnered 2,000 responses - but has now been opened to everyone with epilepsy (18+) and their caregivers worldwide.
