At Epilepsy Ireland, one of our key strategic aims is to transform perceptions of epilepsy and public policy relevant to the condition.

Every day is an epilepsy awareness day for Epilepsy Ireland – and all our work feeds into raising awareness amongst the public of the condition but throughout the year, we have specific targeted campaigns that can either speak to the public or directly to the entire epilepsy community.

You can learn more about some of these campaigns, read some of the personal stories that are attached to each individual campaign, and learn more about how you can get involved by visiting the ‘Awareness & Campaigns’ page within this section of our website.

Epilepsy Ireland also has a proud record of working with the highest level of Government to achieve positive policy changes that improve the lives of people with epilepsy. While we have had many achievements, there are still a lot of challenges that can face people with epilepsy and their families, and we will continue to advocate for changes on their behalf.

You can learn more about some of our current advocacy campaigns – as well as some of our previous successes – by visiting the ‘Advocacy’ page within this section of our website.

Should you have any questions or inquiries regarding any of our work in transforming perceptions of epilepsy and our work to positively influence policy for people with epilepsy, please do not hesitate to get in touch by contacting our Advocacy & Communications Manager, Paddy McGeoghegan by emailing pmcgeoghegan@epilepsy.ie

Together, we can achieve a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy.
