"My name is Nicola and I’m from Kerry. I’m 24 and working in retail in a hair and beauty suppliers.
I was diagnosed with myoclonic epilepsy when I was 12 years old. I have been taking medication since then and I am thankfully, currently seizure-free for over 5 years.
By taking part in this year's campaign, I'm trying to raise awareness of epilepsy, and get a conversation going about the condition. I really want for people not to buy into the myths associated with epilepsy and to really understand how it can affect someone’s life."
