While we launched our campaign on Time, Safe, Stay yesterday for #EpilepsyDay, there was also a lot more happening on digital, broadcast & print media to help create awareness – notwithstanding some of the awareness raising efforts that had already taken place in the lead up to the day. If you bought either the Times or the Independent yesterday, you would’ve seen what we hope are now familiar faces looking back at you with print adverts supporting our campaign featuring our volunteers Wayne & Lisa!

Digital Advertising

We currently have ads running on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, the RTÉ player and the Irish Times promoting our key message of Time, Safe, Stay. If you spot them, be sure to take a screen shot and share them with us or share the post directly on your social media channels!

Today FM and Spotify

A very familiar voice was on the airwaves on Today FM yesterday during the ad breaks of their flagship shows with our Patron Rick O’Shea promoting our Time, Safe, Stay campaign. Hear the key message in the YouTube video below. Also, if you’re listening to your favourite podcast or music on Spotify this week, you might hear the same familiar voice sharing our key message of Time, Safe, Stay.

Drivetime on RTÉ Radio 1

Our Training Manager, Paul Sharkey spoke with Sarah McInerary on Monday evening to discuss epilepsy and our key message of Time, Safe, Stay. You can listen back by visiting the RTÉ website.

Leading Irish Model, Kelly Horrigan, spoke to Pat about her life with epilepsy, busting some of the common myths associated with the condition. Pat was later joined by Professor Colin Doherty who provided expert insights on the condition. Listen back by visiting the Newstalk website.

Twins With Epilepsy speak to the Irish Independent

Sligo twins and Epilepsy Ireland media volunteers, Claire & Jane Mulcahy spoke to the Kirsty Blake Knox about their life with epilepsy. Oireachtas members share support for Epilepsy Day & Time, Safe, Stay.

We received support from TDs & Senators from all parties and none sharing our key messages with their constituents and supporters to create awareness. In particular, it was fantastic to see the Taoiseach share a message of support for #EpilepsyDay and our Time, Safe, Stay campaign.
