Today is Purple Day® 2023 and is Epilepsy Ireland's biggest fundraising day of the year. With over 45,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland today , we are appealing for the public's support to help continue our journey towards a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy. Every donation received, no matter the size will help support our ongoing work, such as:

  • Providing support and information services for people with epilepsy and their families across Ireland
  • Providing training and education programmes in communities across Ireland to help increase understanding and awareness of the condition
  • Continuing our awareness and advocacy campaigns aimed at improving the lives of people with epilepsy across Ireland and increasing public understanding
  • Investing in Irish Epilepsy Research to learn more about the many unknowns which still surround the condition

You can learn all about this work by exploring our website today, and taking the time to familiarise yourself with one of the most common neurological conditions in Ireland.

There are three particular ways that you can support our work today and we would appreciate any support you can give us today.

1) Make a Donation

Any donation, no matter the size, assists us greatly with the work we do across Ireland. Please consider making a vital donation on our website.

3) Wear and Share!

To mark the day, be sure to have your finest Purple Garments pressed and ready to go for March 26th! Show us how you're celebrating Purple Day® and tag us in your pics on the day! Tell people why you're raising awareness and why they should support Epilepsy Ireland - this helps greatly in increasing awareness and encouraging people to donate!

Thank you in advance for your support and together, we can achieve a society where no person's life is limited by epilepsy.
