When living with a long-term health condition like epilepsy, it can be difficult to consistently apply the practices of self-care and life-balance.
Self-care is the practice of establishing behaviours to help your own wellbeing, while life-balance means setting your goals and effectively managing a balance between what you must do, and what you want to do.
Epilepsy can be unpredictable, with possible seizures and other potential impacts from living with the condition. These impacts can become a barrier to the self-care and life-balance of the individual concerned.
Epilepsy Ireland is delighted to offer this new programme which will be delivered by our Community Resource Officer, Cliona Molloy. Cliona is a certified Life Coach and Mindfulness Facilitator and will work with the group with the aim of helping attendees to apply self-care & life-balance in their daily lives and on their journeys with epilepsy. At these sessions you will:
- Explore your current self-care habits.
- Identify where your life may be out of balance.
- Look at realistic approaches to goal setting.
- Learn mindfulness and self-compassion techniques to help guide you beyond the lifetime of the programme.
We look forward to welcoming participants to this new programme. Further details on the programme are outlined below.
