Epilepsy Ireland were pleased to recently have our ‘Triple Lock’ status renewed for 2024.
Triple Lock status is awarded to charities by the Charities Institute of Ireland to organistions that uphold the highest standards in transparent reporting, ethical fundraising and strong governance structures.
The Triple Lock is the gold standard for Irish charities to offer assurances to donors, members and the general public.
Epilepsy Ireland first received Triple Lock status in 2018 and have retained it year on year since. Of the 11,500 registered charities in Ireland – only 142 have Triple Lock status and we are very pleased to be one of them.
We also hold the Triple Lock Status alongside our Improving Quality mark – another accolade for our organisational policies and Governance procedures. You can learn about the Triple Lock and IQ quality mark by visiting the ‘Governance’ section of our website.
With our biggest fundraising day of the year, Purple Day® fast approaching, the Triple Lock and IQ mark provide reassurance and confidence to our donors and funders that the correct processes are in place when it comes to raising and using funds.
With that in mind, we would greatly appreciate any support you can give to our Purple Day activities. Every donation made will help continue our overall journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy by helping continue our support and information services for people with epilepsy and their families; training and education programmes; awareness and advocacy campaigns; and investment in Irish epilepsy research.

We would like to thank all our members, volunteers and supporters for their continued support and the Charities Institute of Ireland for recognising our good governance structures by renewing our Triple Lock status.
