We are were very pleased to recently receive confirmation that we have retained our Triple Lock status for 2025.

The Triple Lock is awarded by the Charities Insitute of Ireland and the symbol highlights charities that uphold the highest standards of transparency, governance, and fundraising ethics. It ensures the public, donors, and beneficiaries that they can trust that the organisations with this symbol operate with professionalism, integrity, and openness.

This is the eighth year in a row that Epilepsy Ireland have retained the Triple Lock standard. Of the 11,500 charities in Ireland, only 142 have the Triple Lock symbol - and we are very proud to be one of them.

We also hold the Triple Lock Status alongside our Improving Quality mark – another accolade for our organisational policies and Governance procedures. You can learn about the Triple Lock and IQ quality mark by visiting the ‘Governance’ section of our website.

With our biggest fundraising day of the year, Purple Day® taking place later this week, the Triple Lock and IQ mark provide reassurance and confidence to our donors and funders that the correct processes are in place when it comes to raising and using funds.

With over 45,000 people living with epilepsy in Ireland, we are here to help support people with epilepsy and their families on their journey with the condition; work within communities to provide education and support about the condition; raise awareness and increase understanding of the condition amongst the public; advocate for policy changes that will help to improve the lives of people with epilepsy and their families; and to invest in Irish epilepsy research to build knowledge on the condition.

Our services are depended upon by people across Ireland, and you can read more about the positive impact our services have by visiting the Purple Day® page on our website

With that in mind, we would greatly appreciate any support you can give to our Purple Day® activities. Every donation made will help continue our overall journey towards a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy. To make a vital donation, click the button below.

We would like to thank all our members, volunteers and supporters for their continued support and the Charities Institute of Ireland for recognising our good governance structures by renewing our Triple Lock status.
