We were delighted to be recently informed that our 2022 International Epilepsy Day campaign has been nominated & shortlisted for a Shark Award.
These awards recognise advertising/digital campaigns that have made a significant impact and the work of the digital agencies/production companies involved in making these campaign a reality.
We would like to say a huge congratulations to both The Reelists (the production company who shot our video) and Havas (the agency we worked with to develop the campaign) on being shortlisted for this award.
We have been shortlisted in the Advertising Film, Charities & Trustees section of the awards and have been shortlisted alongside another incredible campaign, conducted by our colleagues in Women’s Aid.
This marks the third year in a row that our International Epilepsy Day campaign has been shortlisted for industry awards with our 2020 campaign shortlisted for an Effie and our 2021 campaign shortlisted for ICAD award.
While our campaigns were not successful on either of those occasions, we’re hoping that it is third time lucky for our campaign this year!
However, being shortlisted for these types of awards shows how our campaigns have captured public attention in recent years and indeed, the attention of those working in the digital/advertising industry – and making the final list is an acknowledgment of their impact in itself.
While we may be **SLIGHTLY** biased, we hope that the teams in The Reelists & Havas get the nod when the awards take place later this year. We would like to thank them all once again for their commitment to this campaign and wish them the very best of luck with the awards.
A special mention as well for our volunteers who made this campaign possible – Lucy, Wayne & Lisa. You can watch their incredible contributions in the shortlisted campaign below!

Campaigns like this on epilepsy awareness would not be possible without the continued support of our members, supporters, volunteers and indeed, the public. Please donate by visiting the ‘Donate’ section of our website to help continue our work on educating the public on epilepsy.
