Epilepsy Ireland is embarking on an exciting new process to develop our Strategic Plan for the next 5 years – and we need your help!
2021 marks the final year of our current Strategic Plan which was launched in 2017.
The 2022-2026 Strategic Plan will chart our course over the next five years. Between July and December, we will be taking time to review and reflect on our work, taking input on the way from our members, service users, volunteers and the wider population of people with epilepsy and their families.
The last 18 months have been a time of great change which has brought significant challenges but also invaluable insights. Now is appropriate time to look to the future and determine what we can do in the five years ahead to improve the lives of people with epilepsy in Ireland.
With the support of a grant from the Community Foundation of Ireland, we will be working with 2into3 who will assist us in developing this plan.
The first step in developing our Strategic Plan will be to review the Mission, Vision and Values of the organisation. This will take place in the form of an online workshop on the 13th July from 6:30 - 9:00pm.
We want to involve our key stakeholders in this workshop – including but not limited to - people with epilepsy, family/carers of people with epilepsy, healthcare professionals, our staff and board. If you can speak with experience and understanding of Epilepsy Ireland and our work and are invested in what our next steps will be, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are interested in applying to participate in this workshop, please fill out a short survey. The registration will be live until 5pm on July 6th.
This workshop will be facilitated by 2into3, who have vast experience in organising workshops like this and in supporting everyone to be comfortable and at ease with sharing the views and opinions they wish to offer.
Please note that we may not be able to accommodate everyone who registers their interest for this workshop. Our priority will be to ensure that we have a good balance in terms of age, geography, gender as well as a mix of adults living with epilepsy, family members, parents of children with epilepsy and other stakeholders. This will help to ensure that the workshop gathers as many viewpoints as possible.
We will be in touch with everyone who registers their interest after July 6th.
Thank you for your time and your interest in the work of Epilepsy Ireland.
**This survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who contributed and we look forward to announcing details of our new strategic plan in the future. **
